JONAH WALT

Jonah Walt (b. 2003) is a saxophonist, composer, and arranger from Hastings, Minnesota. Walt has led, arranged, and written for the Minneapolis-based jazz fusion group Bok Choy since 2020, as well as his newer fusion trio, Chroma. He is an experienced arranger, spanning from pop, to funk, to contemporary jazz orchestrations. Graduating from UW-Eau Claire in the Spring of 2025, Walt spent his time as a saxophone performance major in the UW-Eau Claire Jazz Ensemble 1, the UW-Eau Claire Wind Symphony, saxophone quartet Equilibrium, and the UW-Eau Claire "Prime Time" Combo. Since graduation, Walt has played with the Top-40 Hit band Northstar, the Rock band Nationwide Boogie, and is heading multiple composition/recording projects to be debuted in the next year.
